Built around good coffee and a bit of altitude
Highland Cafe started with a simple idea: a cafe that feels like a small climb above the everyday rush, generous, unhurried, and genuinely glad to see you. Wooloowin felt right from the first look: a real neighbourhood, full of regulars who say hello, kids on scooters, and quiet streets that still feel like a village.
The name is a nod to that feeling: a bit of high ground, a clear view, and standards we hold ourselves to. Beans roasted with care, produce from people we know, and a team trained to notice the little things. If it isn't good enough for our own table, it doesn't leave the pass.

A quiet corner of Brisbane's northside
Wooloowin is one of Brisbane's quieter northside pockets: leafy streets, a heritage train station, and a community that actually knows each other. It's the kind of neighbourhood where the morning coffee run is half the social calendar.
We buy local wherever we can, hire from the area, and try to give back to the neighbourhood that's been good to us. This is home, and we cook like it.
